Upgrade Your Internal OS and Build a New YOU

You want to build your dream business, or perhaps you already have a business and want to go to the next level but feel stuck…

You go around the internet and look for an answer.

After consuming countless hours of content you feel like you have all the strategies and tactics but have an invisible obstacle that is preventing you from going to the next level.

So you procrastinate and think to yourself “I’ll do it tomorrow…”.

Or perhaps you just keep consuming for months on end with 0 progress to show for.

Or maybe you utilize the “tactics” and get temporary success but end up self-sabotaging.

What is that costing you?

I’m not talking just about money…

How much joy and fulfillment is that little voice in your head costing you?

Imagine who YOU could be if you just didn’t have that obstacle.

If things just flowed and seemed light.

It’s not your fault you are stuck…

Everywhere you look people are trying to promote their new shiny strategy and business model.

The one that will finally make you rich.

"What you need is SMMA"
"No, what you need is E-commerce"
"No, what you need is a creator business"

But they all miss the most important aspect of all of this….

YOU.
Who you are - your identity.

When you upgrade your identity any strategy can work.

In fact, the problem was never anything external… It was all about that person staring back at you in the mirror.

Time to build a new you by upgrading your internal operating system.

I wrote this free guide just for you… You’ll get 100x more value reading this for the next few minutes than scrolling on Twitter - trust me.

Are you going to procrastinate and read this later? Or are you going to take that 1st step into changing your life forever?

I’m dead serious.

Little Backstory

I’m super passionate about this because it changed my life. I will get vulnerable with you for a second…

I have started dozens of different side hustles and “desired” a better life since I was 16 years old.

Like most 16-year-old dreamers, I wanted to be wealthy, have the body of my dreams, the partner of my dreams, and do something I enjoyed on a daily basis.

For many years I started different projects, made a little bit of progress, and then ended up quitting or losing interest after a couple of months just to go chase the next shiny object or “tactic”.

If you asked me why back then I had no plausible explanation…

It was only later that I realized that I was self-sabotaging and procrastinating to do the work because of FEAR and WHO I was.

Fear of the unknown.

Fear of not being good enough.

Fear of failure.

Lack of the right beliefs and identity.

That fear was masked in my procrastination and constantly looking for the “best” next thing.

My identity was tied to my circumstances at the time and not to the person I wanted to become.

Until one day I started working on ME.

Enough of looking externally for the next business model/tactic or quick fix.

Time to look internally and upgrade my identity.

In just a couple of months right before finishing high school, I went from a C to an A student.

I started seeing results in the gym, raising my confidence.

And decided to do something crazy that the previous version of me would NEVER do.

Go study abroad in a new country for 4 years alone as an 18-year-old kid.

So that’s exactly what I did.

I’m from Portugal and went to the UK to study Business Management. New country, new language, new people, new everything.

My English wasn’t perfect but I was fortunate enough to have been studying English and having English classes since I was younger.

I wanted to use this experience to grow out of my comfort zone, become self-sufficient, and improve myself as a person.

Long story short…

  • I became an A student while also partying and having fun

  • I landed a very competitive internship

  • I made $150,000+ in the 1st year after University

  • I’m in the best shape of my life (finally have abs lol)

  • I do something I enjoy every day with no one to answer to

I don’t say this to brag because I’m honestly just starting, this is just the first stage.

And I attribute 90% of it to what I’m about to share with you.

The 3-step Internal Operating System I’ve built after 6 years of trial and error.

Internal Operating System (My 3-Step System to Build a New YOU)

1. Shift your Identity

Your identity is the thoughts, concepts, and beliefs you hold to be true about yourself.

This is the single most important aspect of building your ideal reality.

How do you shift your identity?

  • Understand what you want

  • Visualize it to help create a new self-image

  • Commit to the actions and behaviors of someone who has already achieved what you want

Start by picturing a vision of what your ideal life could be.

Now that you have a target… visualizing it daily can help shape your new identity and subconscious mind.

The process of visualizing is pretty simple:

  • Close your eyes

  • Imagine a scene in your life’s movie where you have everything you want

  • Feel how it feels to already be there - be thankful for it

Then, commit to the actions and behaviors of someone that has already achieved your dreams.

E.g.: If you want to build a successful creator business that does multi 6 figures.

What would you do?

  • Look up people that have a similar business

  • Reverse engineer their success by asking - how did they do it?

  • Find material that you can learn from (courses, podcasts, newsletters etc.)

  • Model their actions & behaviors (making content, sales, learning skills...)

The key is to commit to the actions and behaviors of someone that already owns a successful business.

Which will reinforce your identity as a successful business owner.

Here’s a tip to make this easier for you…

Every time you are lost, ask yourself:

“What would a person that does this type of thing do?”

2. New Paradigm (Reframing Obstacles & Getting Off Your Ass)

I have adopted a few mental frameworks that have helped me shift my paradigm and how I view certain obstacles in the game of life.

They have helped me get off my ass and start moving toward my goals. Without these, I would be stuck in my head still overthinking every little tiny detail.

What is failure?

For most people this is tragic and it’s the #1 thing they are afraid of when starting out a business or new project.

What if I fail?

What I’ve come to realize is that “failure” isn’t real. Think about it… most people’s idea of failure is just made-up stories about what would happen in case things go wrong.

How is that more real than a future where you succeed beyond your wildest dreams? There’s no difference because they are both just a thought with an emotion attached to it.

True failure is never starting or quitting too soon.

What most people call “failure” is just feedback to know whether you should change course or keep doing what you are doing. It’s necessary for growth.

If you are starting something from 0, there’s literally 0 downside and infinite upside… remember that.

No matter how your brain might want to trick you making you believe otherwise.

Our brains don’t want us to evolve, they were designed to keep us safe from predators.

12,000 years ago that was a good thing because it helped us survive but in the 21st century, these “threats” are not fatal.

Quite the opposite… going through these fears and obstacles is how you grow and evolve into the new you.

Ok, now that you have a new view on “failure”, let’s talk about how you can end procrastination and start making progress towards your goals TODAY.

You don’t need more information.

You don’t need more motivation.

You need to get out of your head and take imperfect action.

Here is how to eliminate fear and procrastination for good in 6 steps (do this exercise with me):

1. Why

Deep down why are you pursuing more?

Why don't you just settle for average?

Dig deep… Understand the reason that makes you almost cry as you think about it.

That's your anchor.

That alone can push you to take action and get out of any slump.

Once you have an answer that makes you emotional just thinking about it - write it down.

This is step 1 of becoming a beast...

2. Fast Action

What is the fast action you can take right now that you have been avoiding?

Yes... that ONE thing you know you need to do.

For me, that's starting to get coaching clients.

What is that ONE thing for you? Once you figure that out - DO IT.

And start doing it today, no matter how small that action might be.

One thing that also helps me is to focus on rapid learning and execution, reducing the time between when I learn something new and when I apply it.

I used to feel overwhelmed by the overconsumption of information and get stuck.

Solution:

  • Build a project

  • Confront problems

  • Learn along the way

By applying what I learn to a project it gives me clarity and removes the clutter from my mind.

Then when you encounter a problem go and learn about that specific thing so you can get unstuck.

This also prevents you from procrastinating and trying to know it all before you start. Start and then learn as you go.

3. What does it look like if you succeed?

In 3-6 months... if everything goes extremely well. What's the best-case scenario?

For me, it's a thriving creator business helping others upgrade their Internal OS and become their 2.0 selves. Living a life of freedom while helping others do the same.

What is that thing for you?

Imagine it deeply and in detail.

Put yourself in your future self's shoes.

Please take a few seconds to do this exercise and write it down.

4. What emotion can you attach to it?

Now that you have painted a clear vision of the best-case scenario, I want you to visualize it and feel how it feels to already have what you want.

Then write down the emotions you attached to that vision.

For example, for me:

  • Gratitude

  • Freedom

  • Joy

What is it for you?

Write it down because a thought with no emotion is just a thought.

When you add emotion it becomes real.

5. What if you don't do it?

Now I want you to imagine what if you don't do it?

What if in 6 months you are in the same exact place you are today?

Wishing to have freedom.

Wishing to have started.

Wishing to be ahead.

Write down what's the worst-case scenario if you don't do it.

For me, it's:

  • Lose time I will never get back

  • Not able to live the life I want

  • Stuck in the same position

  • Disappointing myself

What is it for you? Write it down.

6. What emotions can you attach to it?

Similar to the best-case scenario, I want you to visualize yourself in 6 months and everything is the same or worse.

Because you didn't take action, you put it off…

How does it feel? What emotions can you attach to that vision?

Really visualize it and feel it, then write down those emotions.

For me:

  • Regret

  • Pain

  • Fear

After doing this exercise you have something powerful enough to change your life forever.

You have the leverage of both pain and joy to get off your ass.

Sometimes we need that extra push and that’s when tapping into those negative emotions can help instead of feeling sorry for yourself.

Do this exercise and come back to it often and you'll always have that fire in you to move mountains.

Without winning the battle against yourself no business model or strategy will ever be relevant.

This is the 1st battle we all have to win and I want to help you do just that.

3. The War Path

We all have it…

That inner voice always trying to negotiate with every decision we make.

”Are you sure you want to do that now? Why not tomorrow?”

That voice is responsible for so much failure and complacency.

You start a project feeling good and get some momentum but after a few days or weeks, that voice starts to creep in…

”I don’t think you are qualified to do this…”
”Let’s do it tomorrow, you are tired now.”
”Why are you even bothering? You will fail.”
”That’s too hard… take it easy!”

Out of a sudden, you lose all your motivation and give in to that b*tch voice. You take what it says to heart and can’t control it but give in to what it says.

Until you conquer this voice it’s almost impossible to do anything great with your life.

This requires discipline and mental toughness which will give you the ultimate freedom you seek.

You will be able to say you will do something and actually see it through without wavering.

Here’s how to build the skills of mental toughness and discipline:

DO HARD SHIT.

When you decide to have an easy and comfortable life that is when day-to-day life will be hard.

If you decide to purposefully do hard shit your life by default will become easier.

Here’s what I mean…

Earlier this year I committed to doing 75 Hard which is a mental toughness program consisting of 5 daily tasks that need to be executed for 75 days straight. With 0 compromise or else you start from day 1 again.

Tasks:

  • 2 45min workouts (one must be outdoors)

  • 1 gallon of water

  • 1 progress picture

  • 10 pages of a non-fiction book

  • Following a diet (according to your goals. No cheat meals or alcohol)

I completed this program and instead of 75 days, I did 150 days in a row because I was loving the results and how I felt (still doing a version of it).

Let me tell you something, in the beginning, this was HARD.

My b*tch voice did not want to work out twice a day when I was sore from the previous day. It also didn’t want to work out outside when it was raining. It also did not want to drink 1.5 liters of water before bed on the days I forgot to drink more water earlier in the day.

What my bitch voice wanted was to rest, eat ice cream, eat the cheat meals that I saw my friends and family eat around me, drink the occasional beer, and not have to read after a long day…

And this is why doing hard shit is so beneficial… you train to ignore that b*tch voice and do everything it tells you not to do despite how you feel.

It will lose power over you if you go against it over and over again relentlessly.

You start to gain a weird, almost supernatural self-confidence and you know that whatever you say you are going to do - it gets done, no matter what.

How powerful is that?

To trust your own word… to know that YOU are in control of your life.

Discipline and mental toughness are skills that you develop with practice (by doing hard shit) and are absolutely essential in your journey for a better life.

Listening to this b*tch voice is the reason you haven’t achieved your goals, but once you silence it you’ll do things you never thought possible.

Plan of Attack (How to put this all together)

Ok, now that I gave you the magic 3 steps of my system how can we package it all up in an easy-to-follow plan?

Well…

That’s where the Plan of Attack comes in. Here I will show you how you can easily design your days in a disciplined and consistent way to get anything you desire.

First and foremost, let’s do a little exercise to understand which activities actually move the needle and which ones are just noise.

I’m sure you’ve heard about the Pareto Principle - to identify the 20% of actions that bring 80% of the results…

Ok cool… but how the hell do I apply this?

I got you.

To identify the tasks that move the needle in your journey it’s crucial to first identify what is your main goal.

  • I want to build a business

  • I want followers

  • I want to help people

  • I want to land a job

  • I want to become fit

Whatever it is, have that as your guide to identify the 20% of activities that will get you 80% of the results.

Let’s say you want to build a business on Twitter…

What are the top 3-5 tasks that would move the needle for you?

Well, a business is nothing more than solving other people’s problems in exchange for money.

So you need to have an avatar of who you want to help, a way to reach them, and a way to help them/deliver the results.

So if we broke that down into 3 main tasks, It would be something like this:

  • Sending DMs and connecting with the target audience to understand pain points

  • Creating content that shows expertise, builds authority, and generates leads (Tweets, threads, newsletters, giveaways)

  • Working on closing clients & fulfillment/improving the product/service

These 3 tasks are considered high-impact, they fall into the 20% category we talked about. By making progress in these 3 categories you will get closer to your goal of having a successful business.

Next, you structure your days to include these 3 tasks and 2 extra ones that are lower impact but also need to be done.

Here’s an example:

Monday

  • Send 15 DMs to connect (high impact)

  • Write a thread (high impact)

  • Start building the 1st iteration of my offer (high impact)

  • Engage for 30 minutes (lower impact)

  • Learning time (lower impact)

This is just an example, but as you can see you got 5 tasks that if completed daily would significantly move you closer to your goal.

Of course, tasks would slightly change from time to time but your key 3-5 needle-moving tasks would always be there.

With this structure in mind, your sole focus is winning the day by executing all the tasks. These 5 things are the daily quests that will help you reach the end game of becoming a successful business owner.

If you do that, you won the day - you can now do whatever you want for the rest of the day knowing that you are moving forward and focusing on what matters.

This will also make sure you don’t overwork and burn out after a couple of weeks. This is sustainable and your growth will compound.

Notice how this is designed to make you 100% focused on the process and not the outcome. Focusing too hard on an outcome will make you feel discouraged if things don’t start happening right away.

When you start putting your focus on completing daily tasks and making progress toward your goal it will be much easier to move forward without fear.

And funny enough results will come much faster this way.
